ATMOSPHERE will participate in the HAIC Final Forum which will be held on September 29th- 30th in Toulouse.
HAIC (High Altitude Ice Crystals) is an international project led by Airbus aiming at enhancing aircraft safety when flying in mixed phase and glaciated icing conditions. The HAIC Consortium comprises 34 partners worldwide.
Thanks to its PLANET platform, ATMOSPHERE supported HAIC flight test campaigns (2013-2016), involving Honeywell Boeing B757, NRC Convair 580, SAFIRE Falcon 20 and more recently, Airbus A340-MSN1. Further to flight guidance in convective clouds, and real-time instrument data downlink, PLANET provided the meteorological context of the flight observations.
