June 2011 : ATMOSPHERE joins IAGOS programme

METEO FRANCE has selected ATMOSPHERE to develop the Real Time Transfer Unit (RTTU) for IAGOS programme (In-service Aircraft for a Global Observing System). The RTTU is a component of the on-board IAGOS set installed on AIRBUS A340 for operational atmosphere chemistry parameters measurements. The RTTU enables to transfer in-situ data from world-wide locations via satellite communication means. ATMOSPHERE will be responsible for the development and environmental qualification of the RTTU, and the end-to-end system testing of the first unit with Lufthansa and EUMETNET E-AMDAR infrastructure.
