Developed as part of a Cleansky MTM CfP, FLIP is a FMS tool bench that enables to inject flight plans in an actual FMS in live or batch mode. FLIP includes a database of about 300,000 flight plans in FIXM format (Flight Information eXchange Model). It will be used by THALES to evaluate Green functions of new generation Flight Management Systems.

CAPITOLE project was kicked-off on July, 9th 2009. This 2-year collaborative research project will validate the benefits of future Aeronautical Satellite Solutions. The partners are: THALES, METEO FRANCE, ENAC, TESA, ALTICODE, CHTECH and ATMOSPHERE. Broadcast of weather products is one of the innovative applications of CAPITOLE. ATMOSPHERE is responsible for the tuning of the service platform and the experimentation phase of the project.
