AWIsโ POLAR aircraft joined the MOSAiC expedition!

On August 30th, the two German polar research aircraft (Polar 5 and 6) took off from Svalbard Airport to conduct their first aerial survey flights over the Arctic this year. The expedition, originally scheduled to start in the spring, had to be delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Iridium Case Study published

From the Partnership with Iridium Satellite LLC., a Case Study paper about ReNovRisk project has just published. In 2019, in order to better understand tropical cyclones, BOREAL UAV performed some long endurance flight operations in Indian Ocean. The BOREAL UAVs performed 54 hours of cumulative operations and traveled more than 5,000 kilometers with ATMOSPHERE's Satellite Communication Terminal (PLANET Terminal).
