PLATIN Project kicked off.

ATMOSPHERE kicked off PLATIN project on May 2019. This R&D project aims to expand PLANET services, which have been operated since 2012. PLANET solution is now operational on several aircraft in Flight Test and Scientific communities. This includes airplanes ATR42, Falcon20, Cessna Caravan, Gulfstream G550, Boeing 757, Airbus A340, A350, A321, Beluga XL, as well as helicopters, balloons and UAVs.

RenovRisk : UAV flew in Indian ocean with ATMOSPHERE's satcom

The RenovRisk project is an integrated and innovative research project, on natural hazards associated with tropical cyclones in the South-West Indian Ocean. The CNRM (Centre National de Recherches Météorologiques) operated Boreal's UAV in order to gather atmospheric data.

EXAEDRE : Chasing Thunderstorms with PLANET !


PLANET system contributed to the success of the EXAEDRE campaign (EXploiting new Atmospheric Electricity Data for Research and the Environment) in Corsica in September and October 2018.

CoMET Campaign : PLANET supports Climate Research

Carbon dioxide and methane are both famous for being the most important anthropogenic greenhouse gases. Although their direct effect on climate change is well documented, their exact sources of emission and the flow of these gases still need research. A major atmospheric scientific study was recently conducted in Europe about these gases: CoMet (Carbon dioxide and methane mission).
