27th Jan. : SESAR WICOMS Launched

Together with its partners of the European SME cluster MOZAIC, ATMOSPHERE will contribute to the definition of the future radio communication system dedicated to the Air Transport Management system. The WICOMS study is sponsored by the SESAR Joint Undertaking, in charge of the implemenation of the ATM R&D Master Plan, with the aim to built the future Single European Sky Air Traffic Management system. New space and telcommunication solutions will be assessed for the provision of the required aeronautical safety services.

23rd Oct. : ATMOSPHERE is GMES MASTER 2009 !

The European Navigation Satellite competition 2009 results were released in a ceremony held in Munich on October, 21st. ATMOSPHERE project has been ranked in the 3rd position amongst more than 300 proposals coming from all over the world. Further, ATMOSPHERE Aeronautical Collaborative Network project has been awarded the GMES special topic prize ! This prize is both an honour and an encouragement for ATMOSPHERE team and associated partners.

2nd Oct. : CLEANKSY Success

The RTD General Directorary of the European Commission announced today the outcome for the 1st Call for Proposals of the Clean Sky Joint Undertaking. ATMOSPHERE's COMET and SIMET proposals have been selected for funding!

Aero Satcom CBA

ESA has awarded a 12 months contract to a consortium formed by Triagnosys GmbH, RJK Consulting Ltd and ATMOSPHERE, to study future Aeronautical Satellite Communication Systems. The study focuses on users expectations, technology trends and business models.

CAPITOLE

CAPITOLE project was kicked-off on July, 9th 2009. This 2-year collaborative research project will validate the benefits of future Aeronautical Satellite Solutions. The partners are: THALES, METEO FRANCE, ENAC, TESA, ALTICODE, CHTECH and ATMOSPHERE. Broadcast of weather products is one of the innovative applications of CAPITOLE. ATMOSPHERE is responsible for the tuning of the service platform and the experimentation phase of the project.
