July 2013 : CNES Balloons project granted

ATMOSPHERE has been selected to develop the new generation of satellite communication system for CNES Balloons missions. The objective of the granted project is to evaluate a solution based on Inmarsat BGAN system to offer enhanced connectivity for scientific host applications.

April 2013 : PLANET on Falcon Aircraft

PLANET service is operational on Meteo France Falcon 20 aircraft, currently in a flight test campaign related to contrails formation. PLANET enables to optimally track and guide the aircraft towards areas of interest for the mission.

February 2013 : PLANET v2 on the way

Factory acceptance tests of PLANET v2 avionics have been completed at TRIAGNOSYS facilites in Munich. The new avionics is qualified according to DO160F. Certification of the unit is planned for Q3 2013. This new avionics package will enable PLANET deployment on commercial aircraft.

October 2012 : HYMEX Campaign

ATMOSPHERE is delivering in-flight connectivity service for HYMEX flight test campaign. PLANET solution, deployed on Meteo France ATR42 and Falcon20 enables experimenters to track, chat and exchange weather data in real time, thus improving the efficiency of HYMEX flight tests. On the ground scientists can follow the mission using Google Earth.

June 2012 : ATMOSPHERE at Space Show

ATMOSPHERE presents its solutions for the transport sector at the Toulouse Space Show 2012. In particular PLANET (weather exchange solution) and IAGOS RTTU (in-situ measurement of Atmospheric parameters).
