February 2015 : New PLANET unit for Falcon

A new on-board PLANET unit has been specifically designed for Dassault Falcon installation. It was installed on SAFIRE Falcon and performed on a first flight on March, 2nd 2015.

September 2014 : On-Going Campaigns

PLANET operations are currently on-going on two major atmospheric research campaigns.

April 2014 : PLANET on HALO

DLR has selected ATMOSPHERE to provide in-flight connectivity service for the High Altitude Long Range Atmospheric Research Aircraft. The delivered system is based on PLANET solution, which has been adapted to operate on Gulfstream G550 existing Inmarsat Satcom. It was used for the first time during ML-CIRRUS campaign in March and April. Further improvements are currently being planned for September campaign in Brazil. More information

February 2014 : Darwin Campaign

A new PLANET system version is currently used to support SAFIRE Falcon 20 operations in North Australia. The upgraded system provides real-time exchanges, including automatic upload of Satellite images for Japanese MTSAT Satellite. The experiment is part of HAIC International Campaign.

January 2014 : OMO Campaign

ATMOSPHERE provides new capabilities for instrument monitoring through satellite for DLR OMO Campaign (Oxydation Mechanism Observation). A first campaign will be performed in Europe in January. A second campaign will occur in Asia in Summer 2015.
